Christmas Quiz XX is now available
This year's theme: Children
With the coming of Advent comes the Christmas Quiz!
Every year since 2006 I’ve run a Christmas Quiz. It began by being sent to friends in Christmas cards, and since then has migrated to here. I alternate cryptic and non-cryptic clues, with this year being a non-cryptic year.
This year’s theme is Children - with rounds including Miraculous Births, Literary Siblings and Child Actors. Each answer is clued for by a series of letters and numbers that describe each word - for example, Three Blind Mice would be T5 B5 M4.

Answers will be available from Epiphany, also from here, with honour and glory to the highest scoring individual or team. Feel free to work as a team, with friends or colleagues - or get the whole family involved as a coffee-table activity over the holidays.
Please share widely with fellow quiz lovers!
There’s always a tightly fought competition for first place and to get on the honour roll.
Those who wish to enter should send me your completed answers by 11:59pm GMT on 5th January, using the button below, for a chance at victory or the honour roll.

If you’ve just found this substack through the Quiz, I blog regularly on politics, public policy, education, books and miscellany - check out the archive or subscribe (free) to be notified each time I post.
If there are any errata in the Quiz, I’ll also be posting them here.

Thank you to all eagle-eyed readers.
To summarise the errata, five were spotted in the original version of the quiz, in Qs 2, 8, 56, 59 and 61. The correct versions of these questions should be:
Q2: M7 F4 H3 M7 W4 U8 R6
Q8: P9 C6 B2 G8
Q56: J6 J4 T7 & G6 P5 T7
Q59: Z4 & C6
Q61: H8 S3 O2 Z4 A3 A7
The current version of the PDF available to download now shows the correct version.
Should 61. end A7?
