I'm amused by the Diplomacy comparisons, and I'm impressed by the Bible knowledge of your (presumably) non-Christian and non-churchgoing 10yo. I didn't ask Z because, although she knows lots of Bible stories and has a reasonable grasp of some theological principles, she doesn't have much idea about what books make up the Bible or what sort of things are in each.
My wife is Christian, so Eldest is church-going and (depending on your view of the religious status of 10-year-olds) Christian.
I think What's in the Bible with Buck Denver is probably one of the things that has ended up giving them quite a good understanding of what is in each book, as it goes through them in order (not that it fundamentally matters knowing which is in which book of course).
