Now on to My Imaginary University.

A couple of weeks ago I took part in Paul Greatrix's podcast, My Imaginary University - think Desert Island Disks, except instead of the books and the songs, you get to design your own imaginary university from the ground up. Who's the Chancellor, what subjects would it teach, how does the governance work, what would you ban - and even what would be your campus anthem.

I take as my jumping-off ground the University of Stamford - about 10 miles from where I grew up - and think about what if the 1333 attempt by rebel scholars from Oxford to establish a rival university had not been suppressed by the King? With a thriving physics department, full academic governance and G. K. Chesterton(1) as the Chancellor, come explore My Imaginary University.
